A fantastic and thought provoking article by an Itchen College student on Kloodle discussing the comparison between mental health and physical injuries.
Mental health doesnt have the same connotations as having a cold or getting seriously ill; for an example, if someone has diagnosed depression and they cant go out as theyre having a bad episode, someone would say something along the lines of Going outside will make you feel better, fresh air always helps.
If someone had a broken leg you wouldnt tell them to just walk out on it as its only a broken leg and walking will help it mend, do you? Just because someone doesnt have valuable side effects from an illness, doesnt mean theyre completely okay mentally; never judge anyone for staying inside or avoiding an activity, theyre probably doing it for their own sake.
