The Ultimate Playlist for Revision

By April 15, 2020 No Comments

I am one of those people who need music to revise. Some people need silence, I need noise. Body and mind are in sync and operate together. One needs the other to work. I find if I play music when revising, my feet tap and I have more energy. That fires my brain into overdrive and I get more done. The music, however needs to have the following attributes: –

1) Fast(ish) paced (I’m not thinking happy hardcore here)

2) Repetitive

3) Relatively vocal free.

And so, here is our ultimate playlist for an hour long revision session. Apologies for all you Katy Perry lovers out there?—?see criteria above. To get the playlist on YouTube?—?visit here.

1) Red Carpet?—?Alright Uplifting house track. Not too in-your-face so a great kick off to proceedings. 8 mins

2) ZHU?—?Faded Chugs along with purpose. Enough synth-base in there to get you into revision-rhythm. 4 mins

3) Wankelmut?—?My Head is a Jungle Probably an apt description of how your head actually feels during revision. Uplifting tune. 4 mins

4 Daft Punk?—?Rollin’ and Scratchin’ One from left field, but always gives me a sense of knuckling down and getting to it. Pulsating tune that spurs you on through revision. 8 mins

5) Duc Dumont ft Jax Jones?—?I Got U Uplifting house tune with steel drums. Has a feeling of going on holiday. Mental sunshine! 4 mins

6) Mr Probz?—?Waves More chilled out. Perfect mid point respite tune. Preparation for the final onslaught. 4 mins

7) Fatboy Slim -Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat Probably breaking my own rule here a little. The lyrics always make me listen. They are too funny. Anyways, a great tune, regardless. 6 mins

8) Groove Armada?—?Superstylin’ 4 mins

9) Alice Deejay?—?Better Off Alone Picking up the pace wuth a trip back to the 90s. Pete Tong on Radio 1 would be proud! 5 mins

10) Calvin Harris?—?Thinking About You The man needs no introduction. The back end of the hour needs a bit of Calvin! 4 mins

11) Madeon?—?Imperium At the recommendation of our CTO, who knows a thing or two about sticking the headphones on and bashing out code, we have this pulsating little electro number. Not long now! 3 mins

12) Keisza?—?Hideaway Finishing tune. This’ll get you over the line.

WELL DONE. You have completed your revision hour.

Here is your reward.
