This episode comes on the back of the insta poll we ran earlier this week, where 61% of you voted for a discussion on human capabilities. We start by reflecting on the otherworldly feat of Eliud Kipchoge, who became the first person to run the marathon in under 2 hours. We then provide a few examples of notable human achievements across different fields to show what we are truly capable of. After an enjoyable (and interactive) Pointless Fact of the Day, we hypothesise how we can apply these examples to every day life. We are often our own worst enemies and if we learn to believe in what we can do, then we can surprise ourselves every day.
Podcasts we mention: Joe Rogan Experience and Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History (check them out!)
Netflix documentary: Iron Cowboy (truly inspiring).
